Yes, absolutely! Drachenmoor has never charged an admission fee and never will. It is our gift to the Joplin community.
Not scary at all! Drachenmoor is designed to delight, not frighten. You'll find glowing lights, friendly dragons, whimsical characters, and storybook charm—with zero spooks, jump scares, or gore. It is made for all ages!
Admission is always open and free! While walk-ups are always welcome, we offer optional free time-slot reservations online to help keep entry smooth and cozy for everyone.
Hours are by appointment ONLY in 2026.
We are open starting October 7th and run until October 31st, 2026.
Timed Entry at Drachenmoor
Drachenmoor is using timed entry this season to provide the best possible experience for all guests. Street parking is not permitted this year. Each party must have a valid Reserved Parking QR Code and Entry Token before arrival.
Please note that Drachenmoor is an outdoor attraction. For the safety of our guests, volunteers, and performers, we may close or suspend operations due to inclement weather, including heavy rain, strong winds, lightning, or other hazardous conditions. If weather forces a closure, updates will be posted on our website and social media channels.

Thursdays – Sundays: Entry from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
We are located right here in Joplin, MO. Our exact street address will be posted on the website just before opening night!
Wear comfortable walking shoes suitable for outdoor paths, dress in warm autumn layers, and bring your camera! Flashlights are welcome, though our glowing lanterns guide the way nicely.
Our trail winds through 2 acres of natural outdoor terrain. We are continuously working to make the paths as smooth as possible—please check our updates near opening night for detailed trail condition notes!
We love our community helpers! You can lend a hand on our builds or make a digital gift (via Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, or Zeffy) directly on our Donate page.
Drachenmoor is a registered 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization. Every single dollar donated goes directly toward maintaining the trail, crafting new props, and keeping the tradition free for Joplin families.
